The Molecular Microbiology and Immunology Lab was established in 2019 and covers educational, research and diagnostic needs in the fields of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, as well as in more specific fields.
Molecular epidemiology of microbial factors and the infectious diseases they cause as well as non infectious diseases and their characteristics that relate to their spread in humans and the environment are studied among others.
At the same time, the immune response is laboratory processed focusing on infectious and autoimmune diseases.
The above mentioned studies are applied in issues that concern Public Health whereas proper techniques for spotting, diagnosing, and analyzing are developed along with the use of new technologies of Biomedical Sciences.
